Yesterday I continued my journey towards London, spending a the day in the south west of England. First on the agenda was a bus ride out to Stonehenge, about one hour each way from Bath. The weather was not great leaving Bath, some misty rain (surprisingly this was the rain I had on the trip so far, and even then it was barely a drizzle), but fortunately this had stopped by the time we got to the stones.
The stones are quite impressive, if not completely random as to how or why they were arranged in a paddock like they are. There is literally nothing else around the area, except a few sheep and farm crops.
Back into Bath, I wandered around the city for the afternoon. The city architecture is really impressive, and shows a lot of the history of the area. The focal point obviously being the Roman baths right in the centre of town, but the abbey and the terrace houses are also really cool. It was then back on the train, next stop London where I now am. Today I am jumping on one of the big red buses around the city to get my bearings and to help decide what I want to do for the next 6 days I am here. Can't wait!
